This harks back to initika's compilation in the old librefox: where he basically scraped together every single pref he could find under the sun, merged them all into a single file, and set them all to break everything possible Which takes precedence: security or privacy? No clear strategy of what they are doing and way too many wishwashy conflicts

Overkill on prefs and redundancy (making it harder to revert)įailure to even keep up with prefs changes (and yet they still claim it uses the "ghacks" user.js) (Tho many things have been fixed as recommended by Arkenfox's maintainer) privacytools/privacytools.io#2184Īnd it's configuration is a complete mess outdated prefs since day one "Absoultely don't have enough knowledge to discuss this, but here's a small discussion between Arkenfox's maintainer and one of Librewolf's maintainers, and you can obviously see and decide which one has more knowledge. Quoting a comment on Github that sums up the discussion quite well: I stand by my comment that Librewolf is not good enough for privacy and people who care about this issue more should change to Arkenfox project and this is totally personal. It takes a hell of a lot to maintain a browser properly. Hi, recently I have come to a realization that this browser and community is not suitable for meįirst, I have found that even if Librewolf pushes updates fast, all Firefox forks like this will die sooner than later because the team will move on.
